Biography

Leslie Louise Bibb was born on November 17th 1974. Her father died when she was only 3 years old. Later, she and her mother, along with her three older sisters moved to Richmond, Virginia, where Leslie attended the all-girl St Gertrude’s catholic high school and was on the school dance team. r

In 1990 “The Oprah Winfrey Show” and the Elite Agency held a nationwide modeling search; Leslie’s mother took photos of her then 16-year-old daughter and sent them in. Although Leslie wasn’t impressed with the photos, the judges: John Casablancas, Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista and Iman were, and they choose her as the winner. After finishing her junior year, Leslie flew to New York and signed a contract with Elite modeling agency. She modeled over that summer, and went on a trip to Japan, then returned to Richmond to finish her senior year. Leslie graduated in 1992. Then she decided to attend the University of Virginia. After a single semester, she dropped out and moved to New York City to pursue a full-time modeling career. She attended the William Esper acting studio for three years and took nine months off in which she did more modeling in Europe.

Leslie’s first acting career was a small part in the comedy movie “Private Parts”, after this, Leslie appeared in various TV shows, such as “Pacific Blue” and “Home Improvement”, then replaced Susan Walters in the second season of “The Big Easy”. Unfortunately, the show was canceled just months later.

In 1999, Leslie she appeared as the lead character on the WB Network television series “Popular”, playing “Brooke McQueen”. Leslie gain a nomination for best actress at the 2000 Teen Choice awards, she didn’t win this award, but she did win for most exciting new face at the Young Hollywood awards a year after.

After “Popular” Leslie appeared in various movies, such as “The Skulls”, “The Young Unknowns” and “See Spot Run”.

In the year 2002, Leslie starred in eight of episodes of the TV show “ER”. Then got the main role in TV series “Line of Fire”, sadly the show only aired for one season.

On November of 2003 she married investment banker Rob Born, but things didn’t work out and they were divorced on 7th December 2004.

Leslie joined the cast of “Crossing Jordan” in 2005 and filmed 14 episodes, after this things just keep getting better and better. In 2006, Leslie played “Carley Bobby” along side Will Ferrell in the movie “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby”, her most high profile film role to date.

In 2008 Leslie starred in the big budget super-hero movie “Iron Man” with big name co-stars Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow. She also had a big part in the horror movie “The Midnight Meat Train” the same year.

Her upcoming feature movies include: “A Good Old Fashioned Orgy”, the upcoming “Iron Man 2” sequel, and the dark comedy “Miss Nobody”, where she has the main role.

Leslie currently splits her time between New York City and Los Angeles with her dogs Jack and Sadie. When not working she enjoys tennis, swimming, hiking, biking, boxing, surfing, skydiving, watching the Red Sox and antique collecting.

Leslie is a supporter of Friends of El Faro, a grassroots non-profit that helps raise money for Casa Hogar Sion, an orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico. She has been supporting the organization for over 5 years now.
